As I was heading south on Pacific Coast Highway towards Bolsa Chica, I saw cones lined up in preparation for the Run Seal Beach 5k/10k.
I didn't have my trusty Mr. Green Garmin with me so I tried to listen to my body.
Bolsa Chica Stewards led youth groups in wetland restoration. They planted potted plants, pulled weeds, and watered.
The wetlands had a calming effect on me. I took in long, deep breaths, and exhaled all the stress and tension in my body.

Poppies are my very favorite - sooo pretty. I can't get them to grow very well here in dry, arid Colorado though :(. Nice run, Greenie!!! :)

I think I've said this before, but you run at the COOLEST places!
ReplyDeleteVery jealous of that location for running. Is Bolsa Chica near Long Beach or did you have to drive a long way to get there?

"addopt the pace of nature...." love that. Guess that's why I have zero patience [I only run indoors] ;)
A beautiful run. You're so fortunate to be able to surround your self in nature when you run. I live in an area that will allow about 30 minutes of escape from traffic and the enjoyment of woodlands.
