As I mentioned in my Yelp review, I had heard nothing but good things about Bondi Bands before I became a believer but I still didn't bother to give them a try because I thought $8 was too much to pay for a piece of fabric. I could not have been more wrong.
I'm one of those girls with 'slippery' hair. When I was young, my mum would always have to use those hair elastics with the giant plastic balls on the ends to tie up my hair and I could never wear those pretty barrettes like all the other girls because my hair was too thick and slippery.
I prefer to keep my hair short but I would hesitate cutting off too much because there would be no way to tie it back - every single headband I tried just slipped off my head. Now I can cut my hair without hesitation because I know my Bondi Band will keep all my hair out of my face - even the wisps.
I love wearing Bondi Bands under my running hat because it keeps me from ending up with 'hat head' and it also helps absorb sweat. You can see me wearing a black Bondi Band at the finish of the Rockin' The Coto Trail Half Marathon yesterday.

ReplyDeleteOMG! I love Bondi Bands! I can't choose a design right now because I love too many of them, but I'd love any of their wicking ones to add to my collection. Maybe a bright yellow one or something that says running maniac :)
ReplyDeleteI already follow them on facebook AND twitter!
OMG. I've been wanting to cut my hair but haven't b/c I need to be able to do a pony tail. I lost my last hair band while running without even realizing it came off my head. The Crowns are awesome :) http://www.bondiband.com/product_info.php?cPath=25_30_70_73&products_id=1076 If anything, let me know when you make an order and I'll try it out :) Paola

ReplyDeleteI like the one that says "Live, Laugh, Run" :)
ReplyDeleteooh! i want one in black! i never can keep bands on my head. i always thought i just had a weird-shaped head, but maybe it does have something to do with my hair being slippery. even the slim bands with the little grip rubber underneath come off my head (not the ponytail holders but the band things). now that i've cut my hair and have bangs, it'd be nice to use to keep them out of my eyes during a run. i'm always hesitant to buy these types of things, though, because i've blown so much money on bands that don't work.
ReplyDeleteI would love the wicking ponytail hat with the peace symbol on it. I have long hair and that would suit it very nicely thank you! MInd you, I also like the headband that says "I run like a girl". Thanks for hosting this!
ReplyDeleteI can't choose just one, they're all so cute! But if I had to pick, I'd go with "Hopscotch Fun" because I could wear it with almost everything I own. :-)
ReplyDeleteI already "like" them on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteHooray! I love this giveaway! High FIVES!!!!
ReplyDeleteNumber one, I really like the Solid Raspberry Pink one.. BUT
I didn't know they were for guys to! Tony keeps messing with his hair and was actually looking at bands the other day at the running store! Maybe I want the black one?!
I've always wanted to try these! I like the solid pink heavy wicking band. Anything pink is good in my book!
ReplyDeleteI have such a sweaty head - I've always wanted to try these. They are all so cute, but I have to go with hot pink, black polka dots :)
