It was difficult to find available parking around Marina Vista Park due to the Southern California Speedboat Club's annual Long Beach Sprint Nationals at Marine Stadium. The sprint boat racing competition featured twelve classes of the flatbottom, V-Bottom, Tunnel, Jet Boats and PWC’s from all over the country.
The weather was unusually chilly for August and I loved every minute of it.
We saw a number of AREC runners while we were out there. AREC is the largest running group here in Long Beach. The initials stand for 'A Running Experience'. A number of Sole Runners are actually members of AREC as well.
When we were focusing on breathing, he told us to exhale all the bad things - our anger, fears, stress, etc. - and inhale only good things.
I'm going to remember this exercise the next time I am feeling overwhelmed in a situation.
Sounds like a great run. I love my Sat. morning club runs. I wish we had a yoga session at the end, though!
