The Green Girl's Athens Marathon Training Schedule

The Green Girl is ready to start ramping up the mileage in preparation for the Athens Classic Marathon.

After struggling with posterior tibial tendonitis for so long, I had a hard time even looking at a training plan because I wasn't sure if my foot would hold up.

After doing San Francisco and Rockin' The Coto Trail, I am finally feeling confident enough to start seriously thinking about Athens.

This is one impressive training plan. How hilly is this marathon? Could not find much info on their website?

  9. Thanks, guys! I'm cautiously optimistic that my foot will hold up to all this running.

Ewa, it's great to see someone from RA on here! ::waves:: From what I gather, it's supposed to be one of the harder routes in the world. Luckily, I'm a strong uphill runner - working on improving my downhill.
